Bodybuilding Fat Loss Tips For Men And Women

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

With no down-time between sets, you become more involved in your bodybuilding fat loss. There’s no time for daydreaming, wishing you were somewhere else or becoming bored. In fact, a most desirable attitude of training develops, one that we wrongly think is reserved for athletes on the fringe of competition. This attitude of training is a valuable tool of confidence and provides a very real psychological benefit.

I’d alternate between two workouts, looking for bodybuilding fat loss and time-plus-effort commitment channeled into four sessions a week. Considering these virtuous prerequisites, a Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday scheme works well, giving you Wednesday and the weekend off for rest and relaxation, balance and order. It is these things of the mind and body that make light-weights perfectly heavy for muscle intensity (maximized tension within the muscle) and provoke muscle responses you’ve never experienced.

High rep dead lifts for a strong bodybuilding fat loss - a classic favorite of hardcore lifters with a generous heart. This is an excellent addition to a routine. Gives it guts and charm. Don’t forget - warm up and stay warm. Fuel up with a protein shake, and lots of water. You’ll perform far better, stronger, longer, inspired by an awesome pump and high spirits with less chance of injury.

Training techniques, exercise descriptions and nutritional strategies form the book’s foundation, but what glues this book together are his personal experiences and insights, humor and candidness, all of which speak to the heart and soul. The delight in the iron work, the play of the steel and the redefined weight loss motivation will have you striving forward to reach your fitness and training goals.

Further your fat loss workouts — or take your first steps — as you find yourself caught up in the style and rhythm that is Dave’s alone. You’ll see the lessons of Brother Iron, Sister Steel hit home as your training enthusiasm abounds. In your next match with the weights you’ll see the work of your muscles with new clarity under the guidance of his insight.

Another seldom reviewed benefit of dumbbell training is the powerful clean necessary to set them in place, and the fight to return them to the starting position and back in the rack upon exercise completion. This is called a good old-fashioned work — bull work — that builds the body in functional and muscle and energy connected ways that static exercise does not and cannot. Go for it.

Best Road Map to I Am A Winner….not A Loser! Isn’t There A Diet System Made For Me?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

There can be no hope for a project that begins with the expressed idea:

“I WANT to LOSE…10 pounds”,

“I NEED to LOSE…20 pounds”, or

“My GOAL is to LOSE…100 pounds”

Even though they are all noble and achievable goals, what the mind hears is “I’m gonna LOSE”; and 99 times out of a hundred that is exactly what happens.

You LOSE; your wasteline GAINS…following your instructions exactly.

Most of us yo-yo dieters are already on our 5th, 10th or 55th attempt to achieve that ideal weight.

But no matter the activity or your skill level, if you keep repeating mentally and verbally that you want to LOSE…YOU WILL!

It doesn’t matter if the activity is golf, grade point average, or baking a cake. A desire to LOSE soon becomes a reality.

Dieting is a mental activity as much as a physical one.

In fact, everything we do involves the mind first, whether it is to achieve that ideal weight or to put a person on the moon.

First the idea is born…then the mind and body go to work to make the idea a reality. Over the last half century we have seen innumerable “impossibilities” come into existence and become parts of our daily lives:

How about the cell phone you are currently using; or

Fed Ex—overnight delivery anywhere in the world; or

Microwave cooking?

The list goes on and on.

They all began as an idea; and you can be sure that none of the minds behind these seeming “miracles” ever pursued their dreams with an “I will LOSE attitude.

The obstacles became stepping stones, learning experiences, and eventual progress toward the goal.

It’s been the WINNERS not the LOSERS who have made the biggest difference in the world; and in their own personal lives.

Back to the original premise of this article: If you started your this latest diet program to LOSE, you already have.

You probably can find, somewhere in your house, a chart that lists your current weight in the UPPER left hand corner, with your goal weight listed in the BOTTOM right hand corner.

That chart literally screams out at you, “If you LOSE enough, you will get DOWN to your goal”. LOSE…DOWN…LOSE…DOWN–hardly an inspiring motivation.

It’s not completely our fault. There are over twenty-nine million diet and diet related pages on the Internet. Most of those pages probably revolve around this “LOSE…DOWN” idea.

Everything from the lowly cabbage soup diet to the star-studded commercials for Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, or NutriSystem; all extol LOSING as a desirable goal.

Forget LOSING. We really don’t want to be LOSERS…we’re WINNERS by nature.

Instead of LOSING WEIGHT, why not ACHIEVE A WEIGHT GOAL?

Now, ask yourself if you’d prefer being “DOWN AFTER A LOSS” or “UP AFTER AN ACHIEVEMENT”.

For a start, turn your weigh-in chart UPSIDE DOWN. List your current weight on the BOTTOM left; and your goal weight on the UPPER right. Feels better already, doesn’t it?

Instead of another punishing diet (another one that is almost definitely destined to fail), why not simply IMPROVE your current eating habits?

Instead of SACRIFICING your favorite foods, how about listing all the foods you ENJOY, and then picking from that long list the foods most likely to help you [spin]REACH your WEIGHT GOAL?

And finally, are you more likely to continue an activity that is pleasant, positive, and produces almost instant results; or would you prefer an endless horizon of tofu and cabbage soup?

But where to find such a list of healthy foods that you truly enjoy? And how to build a diet around them?

Here’s a couple of links that have helped us along the way. See for yourself at: Healthy Dieting and Lose Weight Guaranteed

And don’t forget the basic build your immune system tips, it IS important to stay healthy.

Discover More About - Do You Really Need To Lose Weight?

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Weight loss is a big issue around the world, when so many young girls (and boys) are suffering from anorexia, bulimia, and other eating disorders. Dieting can be a very good and necessary thing, but can also turn un-necessarily into something tragic that affects millions {family and friends included); and may even cause death. Knowing when you need to lose weight and when you do not is important in the finding the right balance between personal health, good self image and the dangers of over-dieting.

Losing Weight Is A Personal Choice.

It’s useful to remember that losing weight is often a very personal choice. However, if you are more than 20 pounds overweight, losing the pounds is important for your health. In making your choice about losing weight, taking a look at the recommended weight for someone of your height is where you should start. Everyone’s body is different. We all have a different fat to muscle ratio. It’s good advice to see your doctor if you feel like you need to go on a diet. A doctor can confirm this or put your mind to rest by telling you that your weight is normal. This is the best way to make sure that you do or don’t need to diet to be healthy.

Beware of Role Models!

There are also times, however, when you definitely do not need to lose weight. Supposing you aren’t as thin as your favorite actor or model, that doesn’t mean you need to lose weight. Often, models and actresses are airbrushed in photos to look more toned. Often they have personal trainers that work with them for hours every day, to help them stay in shape. If your body weight is normal, you do not need to diet, even if you are a dress size bigger than your ideal celebrity.

But I’ve gained Some Weight..

Your don’t need to lose weight just because you gain it! People gain weight for a number of reasons. It’s important for teens to realize that this is especially common during puberty, and for the few years after. If you gain weight check out the rest of your body—are you going through a growth spurt in height as well? Remembering that muscle to fat ratio is also a factor: don’t worry about gaining weight when you are lifting at the gym. As you tone your muscles, you will look better, but because muscles are heavier than fat, you may actually gain weight!

Social Comments Are Just Rude..

Lastly, you don’t need to lose weight simply because someone else makes a rude comment about your looks. People can be cruel, and everyone has a different body make up. You can’t be part of every social groups idea of body type. If you are happy with your weight and it is within the normal range for someone of your age and height, then chances are that the rude comment is just a fixed idea someone has, and not a sign you actually do need to lose weight.

At the end of the day, everyone wants to be happy: be happy with yourself and eat a healthy diet; and you shouldn’t need to worry about losing weight.

The Best Self Hypnosis Course Review

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

Hypnosis is a scientifically verified and effective technique that can promote accelerated human change. With Hypnosis we can create desired changes in behavior and encourage mental and physical well-being.

The state of self hypnosis is not new, strange or even artificial. It is completely natural. While in a state of self hypnosis you do not lose consciousness nor awareness. It is more like having a daydream or being detached from what is happening. It feels like you are merely observing the whole thing rather than experiencing it.

While under the influence of self hypnosis you are highly suggestible. It is thought that about 1 in every 5 people are so suggestible that they will totally immerse themselves in the experience and these are the very entertaining subjects of stage hypnotism. However, everyone is suggestible to some degree while under the influence of self hypnosis even more so than during a hypnotic show because you have chosen to enter the trance desiring to enter a suggestible state.

Self hypnosis induces a very deep state of relaxation unlike anything else due to its ability to make you detach from your problems, the world and a certain degree of responsibility. For this reason it is popularly used to reduce pain, remove stress as an aesthetic during surgery.

The mechanism of self hypnosis is not known even after many years of research but its effectiveness is very well known. Just why self hypnosis is so powerful, or why it works at all, is unknown. However, it does appear to induce a form of dissociation and allow direct communications with unconscious parts of the mind. This gives easy access to past memories and their emotional ties and also allows for the discovery of unconscious desires, fears and beliefs.

Learn how to guide yourself and others to lose weight, quit smoking and be free of physical pain. These programs are especially suited for health care professionals, practicing therapists, and all individuals seeking to make a positive change in their lives.www.knowbasichypnosis.blogspot.com

Best Way to Lose Weight

Dieting Tips
Kacy Carr asked:

Did you ever hear the likes, a “chocolate diet?” Brace yourself because you hear right. Chocolate acts as a vitamin replacement; if this is true then healthy benefits derived from this particular diet may not be so bad after all

The chocolate diet is just one of many fad diets which include you eating favorite foods. While consuming your specified amount of yummy allowance keep in mind it is supposed to control high blood pressure and prevent heart disease. Although encouraging reasons for using the diet, what of rotting teeth and the people who bang weight on if they as much look at a bar of chocolate.

The diet mainly consists of fluids. Powder or supplements are given to the dieter to mix with milk or water. Is this not cocoa as we all know it?

Chocolate contains anti-oxidants that help prevent arteries clogging. Does this not leave the dieter in a catch 22 situation after being advised to avoid sugary foods because of fattening issues? Weighing up the good and bad is it not healthier to carry a little excess weight to avoid pores clogging or having a heart attack. Chocolate prevents heart disease and obesity increases the risk of heart disease. Is obesity not the same as fat? I am confused.

Chocolate powder shakes are not for replacing or substituting meals, but designed as healthy snacks to stop a rumbling belly. Is this diet so bad when the sugar supply gives us that much needed energy boost?

The question is does the chocolate diet work.. It’s not clear that chocolate stimulates metabolism or helps the fat burning process. Beyond that, too much of anything can be bad. While chocolate does have health benefits, a diet with an emphasis in chocolate may not be the best way to lose weight. To shed pounds stick with a sensible eating plan.

Diet - Throughout the day you can munch two 40 gram bars of chocolate and drink sugar-free coffee with non-fat milk. Make eating exciting and appetizing, mix chocolate chips with strawberries in a glass bowl. Glass allows visibility of the delicious filling which guarantees lip licking. Slice a couple of bananas and drizzle melted dark chocolate over them. You have to take the chocolate diet for 5-7 days and no longer. After one course take a break for 3-4 days. The chocolate diet is a decreased calorie diet that centers on drinking liquid diet shakes to fill the gap. People use it as a replacement for food and if you consume less food this clearly indicate fewer calories.

I am not sure I agree this can be called a sensible diet when evidence proves different i.e. pounds piling on instead of dropping off and decaying teeth. Before dieting speak to your doctor or dietician

The sensible thing to do is ignore fad diets and embark on the sensible by following a sensible eating plan. Choose the wrong diet can be dangerous - seek expert advice. The best way to evaluate a diet is by the promises made. Overnight weight loss or miracle cures are promotional pledges you should snub.

Crash dieting is unhealthy. Weight loss is for more than just losing pounds. Exercise for skin and muscle tone is just as important. Exercise is necessary but it won’t replace a diet. A combination of both is ideally the key source to losing weight. Give yourself time to adjust and not to lose focus when you begin your first diet.

Consider a low-key diet that aims at healthy foods:

1 Choose an apple over a chocolate bar.

2 Cut out cordials and drink water.

3 Walk rather than use the car or bus.

4 Limit portion sizes of what you eat. It is easier than counting calories and carbohydrates.

5 Use a smaller plate to serve dinner on.

6 Replace sticky puddings for pieces of fruit

To lose weight, fewer calories have to be burned off than what you take in. Skipping meals and eating fewer calories can cause severe consequences; it can lead to binge scoffing later because of low energy and blood sugar levels. A sensible and healthy eating plan will include between 1200 and 1400 calories daily for women and 1500 to 1800 calories for men. Breakfast being the most important meal of the day is one you must not skip. Eat 4 to 5 times a day but in moderation.

Margarethe De Clermont asked:

Want to lose weight effortlessly but healthily? It’s easy to lose weight with these easy diet tips. Pay close attention to what you eat and drink, but no need to make dramatic sacrifices! Just follow these simple guidelines to start your weight loss program or give your diet a boost when it seems to have stuttered to a halt.

1. Keep a food diary. Make a note of everything that you eat and drink. You do not need to count calories. Just write down what it was that you had and the approximate quantity. You will find that being more aware of what you are eating helps you to plan healthy meals and snacks.

2. Halve your intake of all pure or added fats. This means using half as much butter or spread on your bread, toast, muffins and potatoes. Reduce the fat content in your milk products. If you are currently drinking whole milk, reduce to 2% fat. From 2% reduce to 1%.

3. Limit treats containing sugar to three times per week. This includes chocolate, ice cream, desserts, cake, pastries, cookies, etc.

4. Include a lower fat source of protein at most meals: chicken, fish, beans, cottage cheese, or low fat yogurt. Have eggs, nuts and red meat occasionally but not every day.

5. Plan at least one lunch and dinner every week without meat or cheese. Build those meals around whole grains, vegetables and beans to increase fibre and reduce fat.

6. Plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. Plan your shopping too - make a list of what you need and stick to it. If you just grab something when you are feeling hungry, you will probably choose high calorie food.

7. Include at least two servings of vegetables at lunch and dinner. If you are getting hungry, have more. Have at least two servings of fruit every day. This can be for dessert or snacks. Choose fruit that is in season.

8. Drink water instead of sodas, juices, milky drinks or alcohol. Avoid diet soda - the sweet taste only encourages you to crave sugar. Hot water with a slice of lemon can be very refreshing in the morning.

9. Use whole grains wherever possible. The fibre will give you a fuller feeling and also help your digestion.

10. Eat slowly. The body is slow to register when you are full and it is easy to eat too much if you are racing through your meals. Choose food that you must chew. Again this will increase your fibre intake, and the act of chewing will make you feel more satisfied too. This means eating fruit instead of drinking juice. If you have soup, make sure it is chunky.

Making gradual changes is easier for both your mind and your body to accept and get used to. If you follow these easy weight loss diet tips you will not feel deprived, and you may even find that is all you need to do to reach your target weight.

Joe Barton asked:

Gout Prevention through Diet

Why treat gout with your diet? The old cliché of ‘you are what you eat’ could possibly hold some truth. Thousands of sufferers have gout because of their unhealthy diet. Gout has been diagnosed for over 2,000 years. In fact, gout was once considered the "disease of kings", primarily because it was thought gout was a result of overindulgence of fatty foods and alcohol. Modern science has shown us that- while there are multiple reasons a sufferer could have gout attacks, thousands of people have been diagnosed with gout because of their diet!

Therefore, why not take your life back from the torturous disease of gout? Why not diet and treat your gout now and avoid flare-ups later?

10 Dieting Tips to Naturally Treat Gout

1. Avoid foods high in purines. Because uric acid (cause of gout) is formed from the breakdown of purines, high-purine diets are often the cause of gout. Such foods include: meats such as kidneys, liver, tripe and tongue. Red meats also have been linked to gout attacks.

2. Forget fish! Fish roe, scallops and shellfish are also conducive to causing gout attacks.

4. Eliminate Alcohol! If you are a man, do not consume more than 2 alcoholic drinks per day. If you are a women, no more than one drink per day. If you are regularly having gout attacks, eliminate alcohol completely.

5. Workout! Being overweight can lead to high levels of uric acid in your blood. Finally get that workout membership, and try to do cardiovascular workouts at least three times a week. Start slow and don’t get burned out!

6. Grab a dumbbell! Did you know your body will burn fat almost the whole day while it repairs muscle! Start a weight lifting program to lose weight! Again, start slow!

7. You heard this twice, Start slow! Fasting or losing weight too quickly can actually lead to increased level of uric acid and worsen your gout symptoms.

8. Drink! You should be drinking at least 10 to 12 eight-ounce glasses of water each day. Better tip: Try drinking away your gout with alkaline water with a pH of greater than 7.

9. Dairy… Your New Best Friend! Start eating low-fat dairy products because of the low-purine count!

10. A… B… Vitamin C! You have been alive long enough to know what foods are high in vitamin C! These Vitamin C fruits and some vegetables will help get your life back to normal!

Elle Nash asked:

I wanted to take the time to share with you some of my female bodybuilding diet tips. I’ve been doing training in this sport for almost a decade now and I’ve really learned a lot. Since I was a female in a male dominated sport, I had no information to help me along the way. I was forced to learn through trial and error, so I’m going to share some of what I learned with you.

Tip: You’re faced with a challenge when you sleep. Obviously, you want to have a full 9hrs of sleep, but you don’t have any nutrition coming into your body to help you build muscle. There’s a problem here, but I’ve figured out the solution. Eat fat before bed slows down the digestive proccess, so if you eat a combination of protein and fat, it will slowly digest itself throughout the night. This allows you to get your sleep and the nutrients necessary to build muscle.

Tip: My other female bodybuilding tip is to start eating smaller meals about every 2-3hrs. The reason for this is simple; to give your body a constant flow of nutrients to repair muscles with. Your body doesn’t immediately repair muscle tissue. It takes roughly 48hrs after you work them out to fully repair themselves. That means during that time you’ll need to have a constant flow of nutrients.

If you follow these you will have great results. You’ll notice that very little of what you do in the gym will make up the results. Your diet will determine how well things are going to go. That’s why you need to follow all these bodybuilding diet tips.

Loss Diet Tip

Dieting Tips
Linda Bruton asked:

Many people search for a magical weight loss diet tip that will help them shed the pounds and keep them off. But is there really any such thing? If all the best information could be packaged into one workable piece of advice, then maybe that would be the magical tip people yearn for.

The soundest weight loss advice can be summarized as this weight loss diet tip: do not eat processed foods. That includes any white flour products and any sodas, including diet sodas. That’s it. That one tip could reverse the trend of increasing obesity in America and begin to restore people to normal balance.

The reason is that the standard American diet (SAD - and it is) is very high in simple carbohydrates that convert quickly to blood sugar. This forces the pancreas to produce more insulin. Eventually, the pancreas gets worn out, the insulin receptors on the fat cells stop working properly and people develop obesity and related illnesses such as diabetes.

This is the only weight loss diet tip that will work for the long term and not only allow the body to lose weight but also reverse diseases like diabetes and reduce the risk of heart disease. Of course, the amount of food eaten is going to impact your weight, and if you decide to replace our SAD diet with loaves of whole grain bread, you may be healthier but you’ll probably still be overweight.

If you want to lose weight, you need to burn more energy than you take in through food. Increasing exercise can certainly help you do this and avoiding fast and other processed foods will make it easy to decrease calorie consumption as well as avoiding foods that elevate your blood glucose levels.

The more natural your diet, the more active your lifestyle, the more you drink adequate amounts of pure water and the more you can avoid chemicals and other toxins, the better your chances of being restored to a healthy weight and the easier it will be to stay there.

Any weight loss diet tip that doesn’t prescribe lifestyle change isn’t worth listening to. Do yourself a favor and reject artificial, mass-produced food products. Go back to a more natural way of living. Eat living foods that will impart to you some of their own vitality. Food is fuel. If what you are eating is not good fuel for your body, it is best to avoid it. This is the one magical weight loss diet tip that works. Why not put it to the test?
