Stevie Thund asked:

I am dieting and consuming appx. 1400 cals a day, keeping the good carbs (mostly from good vegies) under 60 and consuming appx.170 in protein (chicken, turkey, cheese, etc). Is this a good combination? I need to lose 80 lbs. Any suggestions?

eat the 1400 calorie diet with 30% calories from fat 30% calories from carbs and 40% calories from protein. 1 gram of fat =9 calories and 1 gram of protein and carbs =4 calories. 1 gram of alcohol =7 calories

and in response to ZILA this person is gettting more than 400 cals a day 400 cals of protine is only 100 grams he said hes getting 170

I’ve asked this questions numerous times, but haven’t gotten a complete answer so what I’ve googled is basically 1g of protein x weight. So if you weigh 170lbs, then you take 170g of protein.

If you are exercising this is not enough protein! You should be getting at least 400 cals in protein a day if you are exercising
